Earth Day Electronics Recycling Event

Have you been thinking about what you can do to cut down on your carbon footprint?

Did you know that this coming Saturday, April 22, 2017 is Earth Day?

Do you have some electronics you have been thinking about getting rid of?

NOW YOU CAN HELP MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE AND GET RID OF SOME CLUTTER IN YOUR HOME!

The Denver Metro Association of REALTORS is cordially inviting you to “purge” electronic items  that need special disposal.

Drop-off unused, unwanted and nonfunctional electronics THIS SATURDAY to any of its 5 drop-off locations in the Denver metro area.

Organized in partnership with Rocky Mountain E-Waste, donated items will either be refurbished or properly recycled to benefit military veterans.

WHEN: Saturday | April 22, 2017 | 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

WHERE: 5 conventionally located drop-off locations

  1. DMAR HQ – 4601 DTC Blvd. #100 Denver, CO 80237
  2. DMAR North Office – 13648 Orchard Pkwy. #900 Westminster, CO 80023
  3. DMAR West Office – 950 Wadsworth Blvd. Lakewood, CO 80214
  4. DMAR Douglas Elbert Office – 840 Kinner St. Castle Rock, CO 80109
  5. BAC Appliance Center – 1880 W. Oxford Ave. Englewood, CO 80110

WHY: The Earth Day Electronics Recycling Event, in conjunction with Rocky Mountain E-Waste will raise donations for military veterans, as well as provide veterans with much-needed computer products. End of life equipment is sent to a local Denver recycling vendor to be melted down and metals extracted for re-manufacturing of new components, therefore ensuring that electronics are not only recycled, but able to serve a second purpose.

PRICE: Everything is free to recycle with the exception of TV’s and hard drives in which cash only is accepted. (TV’s have a cost to recycle due to the lead and mercury content.)  Hard drive destruction is $5.00 each. This destroys all your personal or business data.
